Conversation with Anna

On the way home from her last dance class Anna informed me that her teacher brought cookies for the class and that she ate 3. I said, "Anna that is way too much sugar and is not good for you and from now on you are only allowed to have one. You need to start making better choices now while you are young so that when you are an adult it will be easier and you will be healthy, happy, and feel good." Anna replied, "and if I don't will I have to go to Biggest Loser?"

Seth Gets braces

Seth got braces at the end of February and will have them for a year and a half. He wasn't too thrilled about the braces but he is getting used to it.

Sleepy time

Anna and Elizabeth share a room and a bed and we enjoy checking on the girl every night to see how they are sleeping!

Also here is the new bedspread for the girls room. Made with love from Grandma GG and myself.

Visit from Grandpa and Grandma

Grandma GG and Grandpa Roger stayed with us for a few days in February, we sure loved having them come.

Getting lots of hugs and kisses in!

Having fun playing Wii Sports Resort

Notice GG busy making beaded socks and the sewing machine in the background, we're always working on something it seems.

Even Grandpa joined in on the fun!

How many sit-ups can you do?

Anna's Ponytails

Anna had cute ponytails when I sent her to school one day and this is what she looked like when she got home. Don't think I will be sending her to school in ponytails again until her hair gets longer!

This is how they look after a night of rest, looks like she slept pretty good!

Valentines Day

Aaron and I had our Valentines date the friday before Valentines day so we could spend Monday evening as a family. I haven't had this much fun and the kids really liked all the fun heart food we ate.
For breakfast we had pink heart pancakes and I tried to free hand them, some looked good and others not so good but they tasted good all the same.

For lunch, a heart shaped sandwich.

Dinner, everyone got to make their own personal heart pizza.

Last of all for dessert we had heart shaped mint ice cream sandwiches. This was the first time I've made ice cream sandwiches and they were delicious.

Klondike

Seth went on his first Klondike scout campout the first weekend in February and Aaron was able to go with him. It was pretty cold but they kept warm and enjoyed the weekend.

Fun weekend of Skiing

The kids had Friday off just over a week ago and it just happened to be the Friday that Aaron worked half day so we picked up Aubry from school (she didn't have the day off), and headed up to Bogus to ski. Seth is on the Ski Team at school and his races are on Saturday mornings so for fun we stayed in a hotel in Boise Friday evening so we would be that much closer when we went back up Saturday morning. Les and Sheryle offered to keep Elizabeth for us which turned out to be great and gave us the chance to ski more instead of taking turns sitting with her in the lodge and trying to keep her happy. Anna is officially a skier now and is comfortable skiing by herself and even tried to convince me, when I wanted to take a break and sit in the lodge because of a headache, that I could go sit in the lodge and she would be fine on her own. She wanted to try the steeper side of the mountain on the bunny hill and crashed a few times but didn't let that stop her. I was terrified going down and only crashed once. I had a worse crash on a very easy part of the mountain and got a nasty bruise.
We had fun swimming and soaking in the hot tub at the hotel and enjoyed watching Despicable Me while eating popcorn and soda.
Skiing on Saturday was better than Friday as far as the weather was concerned though the lines were longer and there were a ton of people. Friday evening it was snowing and windy so when the snow hit your face it felt like ice poking you. I was really wanting some goggles and bought some Saturday morning before going up to ski. Next year we will start teaching Elizabeth to ski so she can join in on the fun.
Seth and Luke were never around when the camera was out so they didn't get their picture taken.

Enjoying some fun in the water!
